So got back in late last night. Flights from Phoenix to Detroit to Lansing went as planned and actually landed both times ahead of schedule. Weather in Phoenix was chilly for the most part - not at all what I was expecting.
Still feeling somewhat under the weather. Sucks to fly with nasal congestion. But overall feeling okay.
Nice to see Iris last night and again this morning. Will get to spend some time with her this afternoon since I am getting an unscheduled/unexpected afternoon off which will be nice. Will hopefully get a nap in so that I can watch the Packers-Ravens game tonight.
Not looking forward to all the crappy weather headed our way along with the rest of the Great Lakes Region.
Two more weeks in Lansing then back to Wisconsin for about 2 weeks. Found out yesterday that Michigan State will be playing Texas Tech in the Alamo Bowl on January 2 so I am looking forward to that. Once in a lifetime chance for most people to get to be on the sidelines for a bowl game. You kind of lose prospective when you are around people who get to do things like that all the time. Looking forward to the Holidays. Iris will definitely more active but still will not remember anything about the trip. She also does not understand the whole concept of Christmas so shopping has been easy because it does not really matter if she sees her gifts or not. Next year will be an entirely different story though.
