So life has been crazy as usual. Lots of different things going on with event coverage, lectures, family, etc. Karen and I (mainly Karen) are in the process of helping Iris potty train. She likes sitting on her little toilets but will usually not do much while on there. She has gone in the toilet a few times and we get all excited and congratulate her. For instance last night she went in the toilet and then about 5 minutes later after we put "big-girl" underwear on her she went again in the middle of the living room. So she is not fully understanding of the whole situation but she is trying. She turned 18 months a few weeks ago and she is becoming more fun every day. Is is fun watching her learn to do more things and become more independent (as I have posted on before).

It turns out that we may need to keep the heat in our house a little higher. The other day when we were doing laundry we found her leaning up against the dryer (see picture). However she was again doing it yesterday when we first started the dryer - so its hard to know if she likes the warmth or the vibration.

So started my last 4 month block this week. Hard to believe that fellowship has gone by so fast. It has been one of the best years of my life. Learning a ton, meeting a lot of great people, watching a lot of sports and interacting with a lot of athletes. It will be bittersweet when fellowship ends. Will be moving back to Wisconsin, closer to family, starting a new job which will be very exciting but will be leaving a wonderful place at Michigan State University. I mentioned to Karen that it will be hard attending sporting events as a regular fan after this year because I will be so much further away from the action.
